Marianne Douglas
is a twenty-eight year veteran of the teaching profession and is
the creator of the
Strategies of Success curriculum.
She received the “Teacher of the Year for Mt.
Hope High School” for creating the course and later that year
was named “Teacher of the Year” for the school district. She
was also nominated for a Disney American Teacher Award and is
listed among “Who’s Who Among
American Teachers.”
Douglas is also
the former CEO and President of Horizon Aviation, Inc. Her
experiences as a business owner led her to seminars by some of
the top business leaders in the world where she learned the
training techniques essential to their success. She created a
teaching strategy based on these techniques and her years in
both the math and business classroom that has won her acclaim
from students and teachers alike.
She created
Horizon Enterprises to share the
Strategies curriculum and the
teaching methods she discovered while creating and teaching the
program with high schools around the world. She is available for
professional development and as a speaker. She continues to be
involved with students and teachers in the classroom sharing
with them her latest secrets of success.
Douglas was
recently selected as a finalist in the Cable in the Classroom's
Leaders in Learning for 2007 for creating and implementing the
Strategies of Success curriculum.
She is also
available for corporate empowerment training seminars and is
currently developing weekend seminars for teens, a college
version of her Strategies program, and a transition seminar for
high school graduates about to embark on their future.
